Current Research:  
Work in humans involves:

  • pathophysiology and epidemiology of borderline hypertension
  • interrelationship bertween hemodynamic and metabolic abnormalities in borderline hypertension
  • invasive studies (forearm, intraarterial infusion of insulin) of the mechanism of insulin resistance in humans
  • large scale studies of effects of treatment on outcomes in hypertension
