Current Research:

Food intake and digestion are the most fundamental and necessary processes to all vertebrates with stomach being one of the major organ involved in digestion. We at Samuelson's laboratory are interested in examining the regulation of stomach acid secretion and the mechanisms involved in the maturation of the acid-secreting parietal cells. Currently, we are focusing on the study of differential gene expression in the gastrin-deficient mouse model.
