Students interested
in a Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology apply to the Program
in Biomedical Sciences (PIBS), which coordinates admissions
for Ph.D. programs in the medical school of the University of Michigan.
PIBS graduate
students are offered flexibility in the choice of thirteen different
Ph.D. programs, while retaining the small, focused environment of
an individual training program.
Entering students
can immediately begin training in Molecular and Integrative Physiology, or take a course of
study compatible with several programs. Students choose a Ph.D.
program by the end of the first year.
Application
to PIBS requires a completed application form, a statement of purpose,
transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and Graduate Record
Examination (GRE) scores. Applications and information, including
the application deadline, are available online at www.med.umich.edu/pibs.
